  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna in water or oil, drained
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tsp dried)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, parsley, mayonnaise, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into 6–8 patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Transfer cooked patties to paper towels to drain excess oil.
